"A photograph, it has been said, shows the art of nature as well as the art of the artist." I have learned this to be true. All of the photographs I am showing were gifts of nature. My juxtaposition with a great camera in my care has been very rewarding. That camera is a 1959 Hasselblad 500c with a Carl Ziess lens. I use color film to get the reciprocity effect of color shifts in my work by purposely over exposing the film. My compositions are my specialty. I attended Cleveland State University and majored in Liberal and Applied Arts. In the year 1989 I went back to school and attended Saint Petersburg College and studied under Dr. Gilmore. I then studied under Master Photographer Bruce Evensen of Thomas Bruce Studios of St. Petersburg for two years before heading out in the Art field. I have been photographing lightning since 1991. I have been honored by having one of my photographs selected as the official poster of the 30th annual Tarpon Springs Arts and Crafts Festival in 2004 and in 2010 the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team choose six photographs of my lightning photograghs to be printed on 7' by 5' silk banners to be hung in the Club Section of the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
